Swimming

Swimming

If you’re looking to walk in the warmer summer months then a route that offers opportunities for a cooling dip is ideal. ATG walks take you to some of the most idyllic swimming spots, sometimes unreachable unless on foot.

In Italy, wallow as the Romans did in volcanic crater lakes and thermal pools, or discover the sandy inlets of the Gargano Peninsula. The wide, snaking waters of the Dordogne river in France offer numerous spots for wild swimming while the wild Atlantic coast of Portugal provides impressive surf as well as beaches.
