Scotland

Scotland is known for its remote and rugged highlands. At ATG, we focus on the Scottish Borders, an equally scenic but more relaxed area to walk, offering a mix of rolling, heather-clad hills, riverside paths, quiet woodlands and charming market towns. It’s also a region rich in history, with Roman ways and relics, medieval abbeys, castles and battlefields that speak of a more turbulent past.

Our Independent ‘Footloose’ trip to this romantic region of Scotland allows you to walk and discover the sights at your own pace. Choose from our suggested 5- or 8-day itineraries, or customise your trip to stay longer at any of the historic towns on route.
